Kingdom Group Home
Welcome!
The Kingdom group home provides help to men who are desiring and willing
to change. Through Jesus Christ and His grace, a life of freedom from drugs and
alcohol that awaits them. This is possible through the twelve steps; an encounter with Jesus
Christ, through the Holy Spirit and living in the Word of God.
The Kingdom Group Home is a long-term residential faith-based sober living facility
designed to develop the skills necessary to be successful in the modern world. The
Program consists of Celebrate Recovery; 12-Step meeting attendance; structured living
with a curfew; 24/7 accountability; a work study program where the residents are
expected to maintain full-time employment and in-house meetings with residents giving
their testimony.
And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their
testimony Revelation 12:11, KJV
Residents are subject to random drug and alcohol tests
each week. The house provides an opportunity where long-term structured support systems and life-skill development to individuals can be achieved by those suffering from alcoholism and drug addiction. Many of the residents will get clean time and assist our newest residents. Additionally, we have staff that live on-campus to maintain accountability and structure.
WHAT IS CHRISTIAN RECOVERY?
A Christian recovery helps accomplish the goal of long-term sobriety.
Faith-based recovery provides a better perspective on life and a view of
the big picture men are so eager to understand. When an individual in
recovery learns to focus on God and all He has done for us, it takes the
selfishness, pride, and guilt away, and replaces these negative feelings
with love and admiration for our perfect God who has a perfect plan for
our lives.
Christian recovery also helps build relationships with people in the
recovery community, as well as between recovering addicts and their
family and friends. By basing our relationships on the example Christ
gave us when He sacrificed Himself on the cross, we better understand
what an impact a selfless love can have on those around us.
Christian recovery brings the individual closer to God, and this has
lifelong impacts as the person puts into practice the things they learned
in Christian group home. This helps the person avoid relapse and stay on the
sober path.
FREEDOM
The house is not a jail or halfway house. There will be a lot of freedoms that can be earned. Residents can enjoy life. Our hope is that you get a circle of friends that will be your accountability partners for the rest of your life that truly care about you and only wants what's best for you and prays for you and with you.
